As a sub-set of the Ministry of Roads and Transport, the Rail Transportation Complex of the Islamic Republic of Iran has covered vast areas of the country with about 14,000 kilometers of railway lines, which is in the passenger and cargo transportation sector in the country. Currently, the railways in the country have been divided into 24 geographical regions under the title of General Administration, which covers the railway network in the provinces of Tehran, East Azerbaijan, Isfahan, Alborz, Khuzestan, Khorasan Razavi, Zanjan, Semnan, Sistan and Baluchistan, Fars. , Qazvin, Qom, Kerman, Golestan, Gilan, Gharb, Kermanshah, Lorestan, Mazandaran, Central, Hormozgan, Hamedan, Yazd, North Khorasan, and the General Directorate of Communications and Electrical Signals is also the headquarters of this complex. He is busy with his assigned duties.

Telecommunication has a special place in railways and independent communication networks are providing all kinds of telecommunication services to different sectors of rail transportation and the private sector.

The achievements of the world have been implemented in this network and this has made large telecommunication companies and also infrastructure companies to use the facilities of this network.

In line with this, the railway, based on the domestically approved tariffs, has taken action according to the laws to hand over its excess telecommunication capacity in addition to its main task, which is to transport cargo and passengers.
